If you are looking for Sodexo you are in the wrong place - this is the site of Alan Bramwell - in the year 2000 I was made redundant from sodexo with Paulette, 1/2 of the UNI2000 development team, leaving Harry and Sandra to support Absence Management whilst the company transferred to SAP. I was the senior developer / Systems Designer I joined the company in 1994 and was able to make design changes to the product that took 7 hours off the nightly processing time. I was not allowed to make the changes to the company structure and the general ledger interface that would have made the company more efficient.In 1998 I was taken off the UNI2000 development team to conduct the Year2k Project - I Installed Tik Tok and created a SQL System - reverse engineering program source to define where date processing was involved. I created a very efficient batch TDD system with 10 partitions to run test scripts and a control system that auto aged data and did result comparison.
In my 30 years of development it was the most refined development environment that I had created - capable of supporting an Agile team of 1,000 developers.
In 1998 Richard Gilbert and Ken Brannighan set up a proxy server so that I could look at the internet - I worked from home on NTL World setting up data and a Operations Procedure Manual for the overnight support staff.
Between 1998 and 2000 I looked at VBA with Richard to no great success. In the year 2000 when I was made redundant Charlie White from Sodexo set up a boot camp to teach me ASP.Net / Windows 2000 Advanced Server and we set up a home server installing IIS.
I did a C Programming City and Guilds Course.
Richard taught me C# and Paul taught me Visual Foxpro
Bill McKinney from Withington Golf Club gave me 4 machines to learn networking - I used one machine to set up SuSe Linux a Unix System.
When Sodexo made us redundant Paulette had to leave immediately - I was told to take as long as it would take to hand over to Sandra and Harry
So I decided to create TrainIT - Sodexo College with a view that one day I would create an Artisans Payroll for the PFI Agreement - Wythenshawe Hospital Bank Employees.
It is now 2024 - I am commencing UNI2025 with Richard Gilbert - a Payroll Front End System - General Ledger Interface called EBCC Empire Budget Cost Control System.
This will never be makeketed as a package product - It will be a student exercise for The Sodexo College / Software Academy.
In 1998 I was taken over by Hoskns from ingersoll Rand - I had been sanctioned by Ingersoll Rand to write a front end Shop Floor Control System for the Unipay System - I had experience of installing PC Applications at Ingersoll Rand - Installing Unistar with a Kopy King PC/Mainframe interface solution. This will now be progressessed as Quo Vadiz - again for the Software Academy.
I left Hoskyns in 1993 - forming Hoskyns Education Services before joining Peterborough Software as an Associate Consultant - ExtraUnit Limited.
ExtraUnit was disolved in 1998 to become PGA Systems evolving into BBCommuniSyS Limited in 2007 anf onto Red Octopus Business Services Limited in 2018 - All Operating as Design House - Design House was founded at Ingersoll Reand in 1977 my 21st Birthday Present.
